I find my life not interesting enough to post on a semi-regular basis, so I've been concentrating a lot on my NYS Severe Weather Blog. Also, this summer I have my job, a computer science class, and my internship at the NWS to worry about.
That is all.

End of Junior Year
It's finals week. Five finals for myself, then "freedom."
I just have an internship and job that suck 40+ hours a week out of my life... comp. sci. class July-August...
Since when does Summer sound just as bad as School?

It's May
Less than a week left of class, 5 finals coming up, and my promotion at Blockbuster should take effect soon. Life's been crazy busy since Spring Break, so it was nice to do nothing yesterday.
Last night the airport had a low of 28F, which ties the record low set in 1961. We even saw some lake-effect snow yesterday when the surface temperature was in the upper 40s.
Still waiting for those thunderstorms.

What's Going On?
Here's what's going on from last week and this upcoming week:
- Linear Algebra test Monday (last of a series of three tests)
- Worked Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and I'm working tonight (all until close... 11:15 for two and 12:15 for two).
- Working this week Tu/Th/Fri
- Atmospheric Thermodynamics homework due Thursday
- Linear Algebra quiz Friday
- Making sure my car lasts until I get it back to my parents' home next weekend so I can pick up my new car... a Toyota Camry
- Probably doing chores around the parents' home since it's Spring cleanup time.
- Looking for a roommate to sublet in my apartment for hopefully May-August
My vacation trip was fun. Got some sun, but no thunderstorms. I almost got through a whole book while I was there (an accomplishment considering how much I read books nowadays).
I need a *real* day off.

School Awesomeness
Good news #1 - hydro. test went well
Good news #2 - physical teacher is sick (that's sad), but that means no test until after break!
Sweet.

Holy Crap One More Week
Just working two more shifts between now and Friday. I'm going to need that time to study for my two fun atmosphere tests.
Been really busy with work and the like, so forecast updates have been scarce. Keeping up with everything isn't very easy. Time to relax for a little before bed now.

No More Extra Shifts!
I'm going to take it a little easier and not work four shifts every week. It seems as though I have a set pattern now almost every week: Tu/Th nights, and Saturday morning/afternoon. That's about 18 paid hours a week, which is fine with me. It also gives me Fri/Sat/Sun nights off, with all of Sunday to do with as I wish. Sure, I'll be out from 8:15am-11:30pm on Tu/Th, but it's worth the sacrifice for the sweet weekend time.
So I watched August Rush, and I love it. Anyone who has an appreciation for orchestral music and how music connects us should definitely check it out (if you don't mind completely unbelievable stories, that is).
I'm slowly getting to healthier eating habits. Out with the Mountain Dew, in with Coke Zero. Cutting out a lot of sugar in my diet should help me out a lot. The best thing is, I still get the caffeine!
I also just put up AMS club pictures from our snow-tubing adventure at Willard Mountain. LINK

I'm Back!
Life has calmed down enough for me to have a good amount of free time. Forecasts are back up.
News in my life... Grades are good. Won a city forecast in the national contest (yay, I get a plaque with my name on it). Attempting to exercise more. Florida for spring break with the girlfriend.
Got another GH3 guitar for the Wii for sweet multiplayer action. It's a lot of fun. However, I still plan on getting Rock Band when it comes out for the Wii (I know what I'm getting for Christmas).
Only two more weeks until I'm enjoying the radiant Florida sun!

It's Been Awhile...
Getting back into the swing of things with school and the girlfriend being back. I've been neglecting my blog. Does anyone read this thing, anyway?

Merry Christmas To All
Got some nice stuff for Christmas. Getting back to my apartment tomorrow afternoon, then it's back to life as usual. Movie review coming up sometime this weekend. I re-watched a couple of movies, got 5 DVDs for Christmas, and I have (at least) 5 straight days of work for 31 hours (money, yay!). It was fun being home, but I can't wait to get back to my awesome apartment.

School's Out! Also: Plug For Zero Punctuation
Just had my last final last night, and now I'm a free man until January. I'll be working a lot over the next month to get some of that sweet, sweet money. Expect forecasts on most days.
So now it's time to have a little fun. Everyone appreciates a quick-tongued, witty and narcissistic Brit/Aussie critiquing every nook and cranny of everything and your mum, so I now give you Zero Punctuation, by Yahtzee Croshaw.
This particular review of Guitar Hero III is his latest. Be sure to check out the site his videos are hosted on, www.escapistmagazine.com, for an archive of all his previous reviews. There's a new review every week, and it updates on Wednesdays.

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
I get a little time to relax this Thursday night and Saturday. Going to use all my time over the next couple of days getting the rest of my homework done and studying, then I'm working on the powerpoint for my atm311 presentation Thursday night and Friday. I'm also working Friday and Sunday nights.
Thanksgiving break is a week from now, but I have 3 finals that are all before the actual finals week (which means they're in the week immediately following Thanksgiving break), so I'm going to be studying hard for those. Then I just have one final (for Java) during finals week, and then I can just work and Blockbuster and relax for awhile.
I need more sleep.

This Is The Song That Never Ends
The homework just goes on and on, my friend. A constant flow of work has me doing way too much. Filling out my forecasts is not a priority right now, so uhhh yeah.
Uuuuugggghhhh. Work.

Behold, Weather Icons!
I have added weather icons to my forecasts! All images taken from www.cnn.com.
One more day of work at Blockbuster, then all day Sunday and Monday is dedicated to atm311, atm315, csi101, and csi210 homework. Looooots of homework in atm311 (which is really implied by now). We have a BIG project in atm311 that will go up to Thanksgiving, with part 1 of that project due Tuesday.

Busy Weekend... See A Trend?
Tons of homework to do this weekend, in addition to working 15 hours at Blockbuster. I found time tonight to update my forecast finally. Not good news in that area, unfortunately. However, Sunday and Monday are looking promising, with seasonal weather and dry conditions. We'll see how long that lasts.
I just have to make it toTuesday ... the end of next week ... Thankgiving ... the end of the semester.
I just have to make it to

Working On The AMS Web Site
I got the AMS web site updated tonight. The Announcements, Minutes, and Pictures pages are all up-to-date. I really like how the Pictures page turned out. As soon as I get the time, I will upload my choice pictures I have taken into the AMS' flickr page.
This weekend was nice and relaxing. I saw Meet The Robinsons, and it was quite good. I also watched Tornado, which is a VERY bad movie, and only worth watching to make fun of every bad effect and plot hole in the movie. There's a reason why the imdb.com page for it is so empty. Oddly enough, I bought TWO used copies from Blockbuster, one of which was given to my professor, to add to his collection of horrible weather movies (which is pretty much all of them, since the film makers can never get it right).
The weather here has been nice and warm, and I like it :) Unfortunately, the pattern we're currently in will end in a couple days, bringing in seasonal weather. It was nice while it lasted.

Nice Weekend
No storms, but this weekend will still be good. Just a little homework (and I say "little" while comparing it to my other days of the week. In this case, "little" is still quite a bit), but otherwise it's a nice, long weekend, with Jaclyn staying over the whole time :)
Just working 6-9 tonight, then hopefully getting Meet The Robinsons from the store and watching that this weekend. It looks like a really fun kids' movie, and Jaclyn has seen it already, and all I really want to see is the dinosaur talking about how his arms are too small and his head is too big.

Thunderstorms! ... ?
All my midterms are done! Now I can just sit and wait for the storms to arrive... Anytime now, storms! It's going to be an interesting night... Hopefully.
Now to catch up on my relaxation time.
